Teaching PC cluster upgrades
07 Jul 2021
IT Services have been working alongside staff involved in teaching activities to prepare teaching clusters for the start of the 2021/22 academic year
The work has been planned to meet requirements and ensure that clusters are available when needed.
A live dashboard of progress is being maintained which shows all the upgrade dates and the status of each cluster. Anyone at the University should be able to view this spreadsheet:
Once an upgrade is completed, it will be marked as “Upgrade completed – testing”.
During this time we would ask colleagues to test their software per cluster using the remote access service. If any problems are encountered, please visit the IT Support Portal and search for the form: "software enquiry report a fault". In the "Any further information" box on this form please enter "Windows 10 Upgrade" to help identify the issue. Once is it clear that a cluster is fully functional, it will be marked as "Upgrade Completed - Signed off".
If you have any further questions, please contact David Benko, IT Service Relationship Manager.
