Plantastic! At The Manchester Museum
26 Mar 2007
Activities with a botanical theme for the Easter holidays
2 to 13 April (excluding Friday 6 and Monday 9 April), 11am-3pm
This Easter, discover amazing facts about our natural history specimens and take part in activities inspired by the Museum's Botany collection, such as potato printing, seed planting, flower pressing, colouring in, worksheets and puzzles. Make Easter cards, help create a giant frieze made up of paper flowers and take part in a plant trail around the Museum to win an Easter egg. There will be an opportunity to take a behind the scenes tour of our Herbarium, set in a Harry-Potter style tower, and handle specimens from the Herbarium.
A variety of experts from the Museum and The Faculty of Life Sciences at The University of Manchester will be on hand to answer your questions on the specimens they have brought along, including maggots, insect eating plants and frogs in plants.
