Worldwide internet issues affecting University services - resolved

An earlier issue with a Content Delivery Network meant that several major websites across the world were unavailable

Update 2 (12.31pm):

Following a statement from the Content Delivery Network and evaluation by our eLearning teams, we now consider the issues accessing Turnitin and Blackboard to be resolved. Please call the IT Support Centre on 0161 306 5544 if you have any further issues.

Update 1 (12.09pm):

The Content Delivery Network experiencing the earlier internet issues have posted an update stating that a fix has been applied (external site), however, eLearning teams are closely checking Turnitin and Blackboard to ensure they are returning to full service.

Original message (11.22am):

An issue with a Content Delivery Network means that several major websites across the world are currently unavailable

From our perspective, this is also having an effect on University services, including Turnitin and Blackboard.
