Postgraduate Researcher's Conference open for registration
25 May 2021
The University of Manchester will be hosting the Postgraduate Researcher’s Conference on Thursday, 17 June
Most researchers are driven by the hope that their research will make a difference and have some impact on the world. This conference will give postgraduate researchers the opportunity to learn skills and receive tips on how they can communicate, promote and engage others with their research through a series of interactive workshops.
Attendees will hear from special guest speaker Professor Inger Newburn, better known as The Thesis Whisperer. Inger will talk about academic writing after COVID-19 – discussing common writing blocks and her strategies to overcome them.
The Pathways panel of former doctoral researchers will share their real life stories, showing you how they made that transition, either before or during these difficult times.
There will also be an opportunity to watch this year’s Three Minute Thesis winners’ presentations and find out who the Manchester Doctoral College (MDC) Excellence Award winners are.
The free event is open to postgraduate researchers from all Faculties.
