Mental Health Awareness Week: taking care of you
11 May 2021
It's Mental Health Awareness Week from 10 - 16 May and this year's theme is nature
Our Wellbeing and Engagement Manager Gemma Dale has written a blog on the importance of nature to mental health. Research shows that just two hours a week in nature boosts our wellbeing.
Gemma says: "When it comes to wellbeing, I believe that it is the little things that count. It is also the little things that stick. A coffee in the garden. A walk before work. A deliberate moment in the sunshine. Sitting in the park, watching the world go by.
"Wellbeing awareness days and weeks can help to bring the importance of wellbeing to the forefront of our minds. I hope that this one can encourage you just to do something for you, your wellbeing, your mental health."
