Staff who are members or eligible to be members of the Universities Superannuation Scheme have been sent an email inviting them to take part in a survey about the 2020 valuation of the scheme. You may wish to share your thoughts at this time. The cut off date is Wednesday, 5 May.

The Jodrell Bank Discovery Centre reopens this Saturday and staff can save 25% on admission! Bookings must be made in advanced online and you will need to select a date and timeslot for your visit. To redeem the offer, simply enter the voucher code UOM25 when booking online at www.jodrellbank.net. Offer expires Friday 28th May 2021. Manchester Museum shop has reopened its doors from Monday 12th April. The shop is home to a fascinating range of unique gifts inspired by our collection. With many fair trade and sustainable gifts its ranges appeal to all ages and tastes. They are open Monday to Friday, 10am - 4pm and staff showing their staff ID card are entitled to staff discounts. The museum hopes to reopen on Wednesday 19 May.

Wellbeing
The Counselling Service run a range of workshops for both staff and students on subjects including relaxation, mindfulness and managing stress. Upcoming sessions include: mindfulness meditation, managing acute and ongoing stress and reducing the stress of perfectionism. The Counselling Service also has information on relaxation audio downloads, books and help in a crisis.
Join the next meeting of the University book club. This month they are going to tackle two books:
- The Midnight Library by Matt Haig
- Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens
Read one or both, the choice is yours! You don't even need to have finished the book. For anyone who is still reading Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, they will start the hour with a discussion around that book. Contact Fiona.lynch@manchester.ac.uk if you would like the zoom link.
