13 Apr 2021
Vote for your favourite
Cast your vote this week in the Social Justice Photography Competition 2021 from Monday, 12 April – Friday, 16 April.
Students across the University were asked to submit a photo and caption which raises awareness of a social justice issue that’s important to them. This year, the team have received over 100 photo entries from undergraduate and postgraduate taught students – a record number of entries, but the shortlisted photos have now gone to a vote.
How to vote:
- Facebook (12 - 16 April) - the photographs are uploaded to @TheUniversityofManchester Facebook account, each ‘like’ counts as a vote
- Instagram Story Poll (Wednesday, 14 April) - vote for your favourites in the @officialuom Instagram story. This is running for 24 hours.
The competition promotes the Social Justice Challenge, an online activity which introduces students to topics like race, homelessness, mental health and higher education. This forms part of the University’s signature Ethical Grand Challenges program which engages students to become socially responsible graduates.
Winners will be announced at the Volunteer of the Year Awards.
