UK to hold minute's silence to mark anniversary of first COVID-19 lockdown

At midday a minute's silence is being held in memory of those who have died, and at 8pm people are being encouraged to stand on doorsteps with phones, candles and torches to signify a 'beacon of remembrance'
It's a year since Prime Minister Boris Johnson gave his TV address to the nation telling the public to 'stay at home', the first lockdown that would remain in place until the month of July.
126,000 people have died from COVID-19 in the UK so far.
The National Day of Reflection, supported by Marie Curie, invites people to come together to reflect on the nation's collective loss.
