Communicate with PowerPoint is a new professional updating course, that focuses on how you can get more from PowerPoint for your presentations, build educational content and develop effective, multimedia learning resources.
The course is presented in a blended learning format and is structured around a three hour hands-on workshop. You will receive a comprehensive study pack and a CD-ROM containing exercises and resources at the session. A PowerPoint Users forum has been set up online for staff to share ideas, obtain information about software and resources and to seek help and advice.
The course covers,
- Designing presentations and structuring your information
- Getting more impact using visuals
- Building informational sequences
- Choosing and using colour, images, graphics and photographs
- Using and embedding audio, video and Flash animations
- Building non-linear presentations using action menus, scripting, navigation and hyperlinks
- Recording and adding your voice to a presentation
- Animating objects and using motion paths
- Using human avatars in a presentation and text to speech software
- Hosting presentations on the World Wide Web and WebCT
- Tips for presenters and recommended resources
Pre-requisites: You will need to be familiar with PowerPoint and building a presentation to study this course.
