Manchester hosts Focus Day for professionals on 21 March
The MRC Hearing & Communication Group and NHS Newborn Hearing Screening Programme (NHSP), both based at the University, are key players behind National Knowledge Week for Hearing from 19 - 23 March.
The week aims to encourage healthcare professionals and researchers in the field of hearing to share their knowledge and expertise, and 21 March is Manchester Focus Day.
Professionals from across the North West will gather at the University to catch up on recent developments, including:
- A demonstration of the National Library for Health and the Audiology and ENT Specialist Library
- The launch of the Greater Manchester Service Specification for newborn hearing screening and paediatric audiology
- A showcase on the NHSP care pathway, the first to go live nationally
- A preview of the first NHSP e-learning module
- A tour of the new and improved NHSP website
- An overview of NHSP outcomes and case studies
The event will be held in the MRCHC Group's seminar room in Humanities Devas Street (level 3, A block) from 12noon to 3.30pm, and light refreshments will be available throughout.
