Pink Coffin Trek to Everest Base Camp
01 Mar 2007
Raising money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association
In April, Robert-Jan Bulter, from the Manchester Business School, will climb to Mount Everest base camp for a good reason. In 2005, a friend Chris Hall, a healthy active, non-drinking, non-smoking 46 year old diving instructor, was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and in less than 12 months he was dead!
On the anniversary of Chris's death, his wife Liz and nine friends will be facing the arduous trek to Everest Base Camp, 5,545m above sea level, to raise funds for the Motor Neurone Disease Association - the official charity that raises awareness and funds to tackle this relentless disease.
Chris Hall wanted us to do the trek to continue his fight against MND even after it had killed him. He had already raised over £15,000 before he died and we want to at least double this.
We would appreciate if you could support us with this challenge by donating on our PinkCoffin website.
The Pink Coffin Trekkers set off on 30 March. If you would like to follow the progress of Robert-Jan and the other trekkers and or find our more about MND, visit their website.
