2007 Student Satisfaction Surveys launched on Monday

Please remind your students to complete a survey
5 March sees the launch of the third annual University of Manchester Student Satisfaction Surveys. Students are given the opportunity to provide feedback on their whole student experience, ranging from their programme of study to the quality of the catering and their use of the Student Services Centre.
Reflecting the diverse needs of different groups of students, there are three surveys - one for undergraduates, one for taught postgraduates and one for research postgraduates.
The past two surveys have delivered some very clear messages from students, chiming with a variety of other sources of feedback including the National Student Survey and the International Students Barometer. Previous results and actions can be viewed on line at:
We are doing everything we can to raise the surveys' profile and increase the response rate, so we hope that all colleagues will assist in this by reminding their students to complete a survey.
The surveys are all on-line and students can access their own survey quickly by logging into their Portal, or by going directly to:
There are a number of individual cash prizes to be won, and in addition this year there will be a prize of £1000 for the School which achieves the best response rate. Schools will be able to spend the prize money on something which will benefit their students - in consultation with their Staff-Student Committee(s).
