Open Meeting on Campus Landscaping
28 Feb 2007
Diana Hampson, Director of Estates, introduces the Public Realm project on 9 March
Would you like to find out more about the facelift which the campus is about to receive? If so, then come along to an Open Meeting hosted by Diana Hampson, Director of Estates, which is taking place on Friday 9 March 2007.
There you'll find out more about the 'public realm' project - which covers aspects of the campus like footpaths, cycle routes, landscaping and lighting. Between now and Summer 2008 more than £8 million will be spent on fundamentally altering the campus, creating a series of linked public spaces, streets and squares. The aim is to make the campus much more accessible - not only for staff and students, but for the local communities based near the University.
Diana will give a short presentation about the project and then it's over to you to ask her anything you like about the project. You should be receiving a brochure outlining the project with the March issue of Staff Update.
The Open Meeting will take place between 12 noon and 1pm in Lecture Theatre 2 in the Stopford Building, Oxford Road (79 on the campus map). Please bring your staff card with you to access the building.
All are welcome. Seats will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
