Met Office weather warning – priority gritting areas

Following the Met Office weather warning for ice, our Estates teams will be on campus gritting high-priority areas

Access to our COVID-19 test sites/vaccination centres/libraries will be prioritised along with building entrances.

However, there will be large areas of public realm space that will be gritted later in the day or not gritted at all depending on footfall and resources available. 

Colleagues are reminded to follow UK Government advice and only travel if necessary, take extra care and wear footwear suited to icy conditions. Gritting is undertaken on a priority basis and not all areas can be gritted due to the size of our campus.
