New tiers announced by government

Update on yesterday's announcement

The Government has launched a new three tier alert system for local COVID-19 measures across the England. Manchester has been placed into Tier 2 (high alert).

I would like to assure you that the extensive measures we have in place on campus meet the requirements for universities. There will be no changes to the delivery of teaching and learning or other on-campus activities which we outlined last week.

We very much hope that you are staying well as we all adapt to this prolonged change to the way we live and work. Please remember that we do have support in place for students and staff to help with wellbeing.
