Making Campus Solutions quicker and easier to use

Improved home view available from today

From later today (Monday 12 October), all Campus Solutions users will see a new home view that is designed to help you navigate the system more quickly and easily.

The new view is more modern and user friendly, using ‘tiles’ to help you navigate. You can personalise your view to show the areas you use most often, so you can get to them quickly. We hope this will help simplify your tasks in Campus Solutions and make it easier to use, freeing up time and effort for other important work.

All Campus Solutions users will automatically see the new view when the system returns today. To help you use the new view and get the most out of it for your own role, a short video and updated training materials are available on the Campus Solutions learning and development pages.

Using the new view will not affect your reports or data within Campus Solutions. It will just change the appearance of your home page and allow you to customise it so you can navigate more easily.

If you’d like to continue using the old view, just click the ‘Classic Home’ button on your Campus Solutions home screen. The old view will be available alongside the new view until June 2021.

We suggest you switch as soon as possible, so you have plenty of time to learn how the new view works and access any support you need before the old view is switched off. If your team all use Campus Solutions, why not switch together? Then you can help each other make the change and share tips for using the new view.

This new view is part of the upgrade to Campus Solutions 9.2 – a vital step in the Student Experience Programme, the University’s major change initiative to deliver better student services. As well as improving your experience in Campus Solutions now, this upgrade will allow us to deliver new technology and improvements to existing systems gradually over the next few years. This means we can make use of new functionality and processes at the earliest opportunity.
