Workshop: Researching Black British History

Discover the collections available for researching Black British history and learn more about research techniques and challenges

Black History Month reading

In this 2-hour workshop, history staff and postgraduate students will discuss their current projects, partnership with the Ahmed Iqbal Ullah Race Relations Resource Centre, archives at a local and national level, and how to conduct oral history interviews.

Speakers include students from the History Department and Senior Lecturer Eloise Moss.

The workshop will take place on Thursday, 22 October at 12pm

In celebration of Black History Month 2020, the Faculty of Humanities has collaborated with the Centre for New Writing, The Department of American Studies and Creative Manchester to pull together an extensive suggested reading list to celebrate black history and culture.
