Important update regarding campus car parking
06 Oct 2020
The University has agreed to suspend the reinstatement of monthly car parking charges until January 2021
Following the Government advice to continue to work from home where possible, the University has agreed to suspend the reinstatement of monthly car parking charges for University and NHS staff. The suspension of charges will continue for the remainder of 2020 and will be reviewed in January 2021.
In addition to suspending the monthly charges from salary, the pay as you go (21 hit) permit costs will also be suspended, meaning entry to the car park won't deduct any credit from the permit.
Staff members who have recently purchased or renewed permits will be entitled to a refund or extension to their permit for the period October to December 2020.
The Car Parks Office will be making contact with all colleagues who have visited the Permit Office in recent weeks, or have requested changes or cancellations to their permits, however this will take some time given the volume of requests. We ask that colleagues await an email and only contact us direct if you have not received communication by Wednesday, 14 October.
In order to set up a pay as you go permit or renew an existing permit, appointments are still required, however, payments will be adjusted to reflect this change.
