Prevent Breast Cancer: Introducing the Update Hours

The charity Prevent Breast Cancer will be streaming a series of live chats during October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Update Hours will be a series of informal discussions about breast cancer and the work of the charity Prevent Breast Cancer.
The first Update Hour will be hosted virtually on Thursday, 8 October from 7pm-8pm. The evening will focus on updates from the charity, and the way in which the pandemic has affected breast cancer services.
The event will be hosted by the esteemed journalist Gordon Burns, and guest speakers will be:
- Prevent Breast Cancer chairman Lester Barr
- Dr Mary Wilson, clinical director of breast services at the University Hospital of South Manchester
- Dr Sacha Howell, senior lecturer and honorary consultant medical oncologist, The University of Manchester
- Professor Cliona Kirwana, clinician scientist in surgical oncology, The University of Manchester
This is a free event that will be streamed live via Prevent Breast Cancer’s YouTube channel, but you must register to watch.
