Senior Lecturer in Creative Writing Ian McGuire will talk about The Abstainer - an epic story of revenge and obsession
This event will be hosted by Blackwell's Manchester.
Ian's latest novel The Abstainer is an epic tale of revenge and obsession set on the gritty streets of Victorian Manchester.
Ian will be in conversation with John McAuliffe in a special online event at 7pm on Thursday, 1 October.

About the author
Ian McGuire has been at The University of Manchester since 1996. In 2007 he co-founded the Centre for New Writing with John McAuliffe, and he was co-director of the Centre until 2016.
He is currently Senior Lecturer in Creative Writing and the author of three books including The North Water.
