Great news from Jodrell!

Jodrell Bank Discovery Centre has now reopened.  To support this they are temporarily increasing their staff discount offer from 15% to 25% on admissions. The Discovery Centre is a great day out for all the family. You can explore the wonders of the universe and learn more about the workings of the giant Lovell Telescope!

Have you heard about SALC: Connect, Engage, Inspire. It’s an online repository which includes the latest music, lectures, podcasts, writing and online learning from the School of Arts, languages and Cultures. Take a look at what’s available via SALC: Connect, Engage, Inspire.

Hearing Dogs provided a Zoom session last week where staff learned all about their work and watched Abney the hearing dog demonstrate his skills. It was a great session and some staff even brought along their own dogs for the virtual session.  We will be sharing details of a virtual walk that they are promoting in the coming weeks.

Did you know that you can go to Togetherall for help with a range of issues – from anxiety, depression, stress, relationship problems and lifestyle challenges.  The platform includes peer support through their online community, resources for self-management, advice and guided support programmes on a range of common issues. Togetherall is monitored 24/7 by clinical professionals and as a result nearly 90% use the service outside of 9-5pm.
