Are car parks open and do charges still apply?
University car park charges will be reinstated from Thursday, 1 October 2020. You can find out more on StaffNet.
In summary:
- Colleagues who do not wish to pay for parking on a monthly basis because they are mainly working from home and want to cancel their car parking permit need to email carparking@manchester.ac.uk by Monday, 5 October 2020. If you cancel your monthly payment and wish to return to paying in this way in the future, you must re-join the waiting list to obtain a full-time permit again.
- Staff can instead buy a 21-hit car park card for £53 to use on most University car parks, but not the Dover Street or Aquatic Centre car parks. To buy a 21-hit car park card email carparking@manchester.ac.uk
- The Car Parks Office on campus is open but you must make an appointment to visit by emailing carparking@manchester.ac.uk Opening times are: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 8.30am – 3.30pm; Wednesday: 9am – 2pm. More information on our Car Parks Office opening.
