Countdown to the Social Justice Challenge begins
18 Sep 2020
Help students take their first step towards the Stellify Award
Next Friday, 25 September all of our first year undergraduate students are being invited to take part in the Social Justice Challenge – an online activity, which introduces students to current social justice issues, such as race, migration, homelessness, mental health and education.
We need your help to promote the challenge to all first year students so they can take their first step towards getting the Stellify Award.
How you can help
- Share our flyer with first year students
- Use our Social Justice Challenge presentation
- Post our video
Thousands of first years will be able to log onto Blackboard to complete the Social Justice Challenge, learning how they can tackle a number of issues during their time at University. As well as introducing students to the challenges of social justice, the online activity introduces students to the kind of university Manchester is: committed to making a difference.
The Social Justice Challenge has replaced the Sustainability Challenge for first year undergraduate students during Welcome Week this year. However, returning second and final year students will still be able to sign up to virtual catch-up sessions.
