Director of UMW (University of Manchester Worldwide) to leave in September
17 Aug 2020
Professor Elaine Ferneley, currently the Director of UMW, will be leaving the University at the end of September
Since her appointment to the role in 2017, Elaine has established UMW - launching nine new programmes, with a further eight in the pipeline. UMW is now well positioned to be at the forefront of further developments within online and blended learning both in The University of Manchester and within our International Centres, all tied directly to our new vision and strategic plan, Our future.
Professor Danielle George, Associate Vice-President for Teaching, Learning and Students, said: "Across the next semester I will be providing academic leadership for UMW programmes, working with the Associate Deans for Online and Blended learning in each Faculty, and the UMW Head of Operations to ensure that the programme pipeline remains in place and that there is no impact on UMWs ongoing activities and development.
"I wish Elaine the very best in her future endeavours."
