How you can help with Payroll Giving

Whether you give money, time or both, it can be hugely satisfying to know that you’re doing your bit to help a cause close to your heart.

Charities have been meeting vital needs which haven’t gone away in the face of Coronavirus. With the economic downturn and fundraising events cancelled, charities need help now more than ever. The UK sector is facing a £4 billion loss in income as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, according to the National Council for Voluntary Organisations.

Everyone will have also seen the awful news about Beirut. Many people have been killed and more than 5,000 injured and 300,000 homes badly damaged. As a result there are several organisations seeking donations or funding

How you can help

You can donate a one off or regular monthly amount to your favourite charity via our Payroll Giving Scheme.

With payroll giving (also known as workplace giving) you’re providing charities with a regular income, to allow them to plan and budget for the future.

Donations are taken before tax, which means the charity gets more of your donation and it costs you less. It also means that charities don’t have to claim Gift Aid, so there’s less admin for them – and they can get on with supporting their beneficiaries. Around £11,000 per month is donated by staff to charities each month via our Payroll Giving Scheme. This provides phenomenal support to local, national and international causes.
