Find out what you need to do ahead of the new academic year
In preparation for the 2020/21 academic year, the Library’s Reading Lists team has duplicated all current reading lists in Reading Lists Online. This is to provide you with a copy of your list to edit for the next academic year. These duplicate reading lists are visible and ready for you to edit in Reading Lists Online, but your students will not see them in Blackboard.
If you haven't already done so please can you review the importance tags on your new list to ensure they are correct, and tag any new items according to our policy for the purchase of reading list books.
When your course unit is activated in Blackboard this summer, your course unit space will automatically link to your new 2020/21 list in Reading Lists Online. Your old 2019/20 list will still be available in Reading Lists Online, but won’t be visible to students in Blackboard.
Any permalinks embedded into teaching materials will automatically link to your new 2020/21 list.
If you have updated a list with new items for purchase or submitted a new list for 2020/21 please monitor your lists to ensure the Library can provide electronic access for your essential or recommended items. If we cannot do so the item will be marked with a tag reading 'No electronic availability'.
All the information you need about reading lists can be found in our recent news article.
