Phased campus reopening update
11 Jun 2020
A message from Nalin Thakkar, Chair of the Campus Reopening and Corporate Support Group
The Campus re-opening and Corporate Support Group continues to adhere to Government guidance, and to work with Faculties and Directorates, placing the safety of our staff and students at the forefront of all activity. The Government alert level remains at four, which means that only Covid-19-related research and business critical activities can be carried out. If you can work from home, we ask that you continue to do so. We will let any staff required to return to campus know well in advance of a start date.
In line with HSE guidance we have implemented a wide range of processes and protocols in order to ensure your safety whilst on campus. These will be shared with you by your line manager before you are expected to return. Until then, you are not required to complete any paperwork in preparation for your return to work.
Line managers will provide any colleagues returning to campus with:
- A self-declaration form to sign
- Support in completing the University Covid-19 risk assessment (line managers will supply this)
- Guidance on using campus facilities and their own work space
