Encouraging discussion amongst researchers on 29 January 2008.
An SCI "Ideas Factory" will be held on 29 January to encourage discussion across the emerging community of researchers involved in the various SCI research themes. The event will be held in the John Garside Building (Manchester Interdisciplinary Biocentre) and will begin at 2.30 pm.
The format will consist of a brief presentation on recent developments in the establishment of the SCI; we will then break into several discussion groups arranged according to research theme. The discussions led by Theme Leaders will then be summarised in a plenary session at the end of the afternoon, when input from all participants will be welcome.
We will conclude with informal discussions over wine and soft drinks. The event is expected to end at 5-5.30pm.
