Fascinated & curious about Ancient Egypt? Want to know more about this amazing civilisation?
Tune into Periscope @mcrmuseum every Thursday at 3pm and discover more about Ancient Egypt live with Dr Campbell Price, Curator of Egypt and Sudan.
Egyptology in Lockdown Live is part of a wider programme of activity linked to Manchester Museum in Quarantine, which aims to open up the museum online, continuing access to exhibitions, learning resources and volunteering opportunities, for all ages. It will invite viewers into Dr Campbell Price’s study in his home to talk all things Ancient Egypt while the museum is on lockdown.
Egyptology is one of the Museum’s most loved collections illustrating both everyday life and preparations for the afterlife. Curator Dr Campbell Price will explore iconic objects from the collection, share resources to access the museum's collection off-site and will answer the top ten Ancient Egypt questions submitted every week.
Dr. Campbell Price, Curator of Egypt and Sudan said: "Ancient Egypt fascinates people. Especially with kids stuck at home, what better time to answer some of those most burning questions?
"I hope the livestream will be a source of unexpected insights - and some tips to find out more about this fascinating civilisation."
Egyptology in Lockdown is live on Periscope @mcrmuseum every Thursday at 3pm, starting Thursday, 30 April.
