Deadline approaching for reporting strike action

Further to the information for colleagues on the upcoming industrial action, a reminder that the deadline for reporting staff who took strike action or who refused to cross a picket line between 20 February 20 and 26 February is Friday, 6 March. 

We are trusting staff to report this to their line manager in order that names can be provided to Karen Heaton, Director of Human Resources, via local Human Resources Business Partners.  

Pay will be deducted at 1/365th of annual salary for each day of strike action taken during February. The deduction will occur at the end of March for those paid at the end of the month and mid-April for staff paid mid-month. The University will not benefit from any deductions in pay and will use it for the benefit of our students.
