International Women's Day event - Girls count: Equity in STEM - 5 March

The Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health will host a talk by guest speaker Wellcome Trust Engagement Fellow, Strategist and Community Organiser, Anita Shervington
Join us for our annual International Women's Day celebration event on Thursday, 5 March with guest speaker Anita Shervington.
Anita has committed her career to creating equity within STEM. An Engagement Fellow for the Wellcome Trust, Anita also works as a community engagement consultant and Director of Community Perspectives - an organisation that is working at the intersection of STEM Equity and Diversity, Arts and Culture, Health and Social Justice.
International Women's Day is celebrating #EachforEqual - creating a gender equal world, raising awareness against bias and taking action for equality.
This is a free event, open to everyone.
The talk will take place in Lecture Theatre B, University Place, Oxford Road, Manchester followed by networking and afternoon tea.
