Online financial training module available for budget holding non-finance staff

The Finance Directorate is creating a suite of online financial training modules, aimed at non-finance staff who are budget holders

The modules are designed to give colleagues a clearer understanding of the financial environment we operate in, ease the decision-making process at all levels, and effect better compliance with University rules and regulations.  

The first module in the series, ‘An Introduction to the University of Manchester Finances’ is now available. 

Further modules will cover topics including the research grant cycle and how to manage a non-research budget.

These bite-sized modules are available to all staff to access at any time – and work through at their own pace.  Each module will last approximately 20 minutes and is followed by a short feedback survey.
