Encourage our students to stand as Students' Union executive officers
07 Feb 2020
The Students’ Union will be holding its 159th election and they need your help in identifying the potential leaders of the next Officer team
Since the Students’ Union introduced ‘suggest a student’ in 2015, they have seen many students go onto the stand for election with some go onto being elected. Many other Student Unions have noted the most effective method for getting students to stand was because a staff member encouraged them to.
Elections are at the heart of Students’ Unions, and without a centralised elected executive team, they would cease to exist in the same way. Perhaps it’s their ability to speak out on issues in class, perhaps it’s the way they conduct themselves in group projects, or perhaps intuition tells you they would make a leader.
Simply fill in the suggest a student form and we’ll do the rest.
