After being united by a love of good food, great coffee and believing business could have a positive impact on the world, co-founders Griff and Ed opened Friska in 2009. They now have eleven branches and concessions, including three in Manchester, one being at University Green!
Friska, named the best ethical restaurant in the Observer Food Monthly Awards in 2014, is committed to its responsible way of doing business and has an ambition for driving positive change.
Griff and Ed’s environmental approach includes their stores being powered by 100% renewable energy and zero waste going to landfill. They have well-established partnerships with global charities who are supported through the sales of a number of Friska’s product lines. They also hand pick their suppliers, ensuring they share the same values around ethics, using only free range eggs and responsibly sourced poultry meat.
