How do we prevent suicide? - Professor Louis Appleby CBE

The National Confidential Inquiry into Suicide and Safety in Mental Health (NCISH) present a free, public lecture chaired by State of Mind Sport's Malcolm Rae OBE, in honour of our friend and colleague Dr Martin Lawlor.

NCISH Director Professor Louis Appleby CBE will describe the evidence for suicide prevention based on more than 20 years of national research in Manchester. The meeting will close with reflections from Professor Nav Kapur on our work with Martin, and his valued contribution to psychiatry.

Everybody is welcome to this public lecture at 6pm in the Grand Hall of the Whitworth Art Gallery, followed by a drinks reception in the South Gallery from 7pm. Please arrive by 5.45pm.
