Advice on the ongoing outbreak of coronavirus

Update 28 January 2020 8pm
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) continue to advise against all travel to Hubei Province, and now advise against all but essential travel to the rest of mainland China (not including Hong Kong and Macao).
There are currently no confirmed cases in the UK or of UK citizens abroad, and the risk to the public is low. The Government is monitoring the situation closely and will continue to work with the World Health Organization (WHO) and international community.
Advice for travellers from Hubei
If you have returned from Hubei in the last 14 days:
- stay indoors and avoid contact with other people as you would with other flu viruses
- contact NHS 111 to inform them of your recent travel to the province
If you are in Northern Ireland, call your GP.
Please follow this advice even if you do not have symptoms of the virus
If you develop a fever, difficulty breathing or a cough, you should continue to follow the advice above. Please do not leave your home until you been given advice by a clinician.
