Network group spotlight: Peer support for people impacted by cancer
15 Jan 2020
One of the newer groups under our Staff Networks group umbrella is the peer support for people impacted by cancer
This group was established in March 2018 and is a vital internal resource for any staff member who is impacted by cancer. It is not only a way to meet those who are living with or have survived cancer, but also a way to connect with people who have a family member, loved one or friend who has been affected by the illness. The discussions help people to learn about additional support and resources available to them and their loved ones.
The group will meet six times in 2020 and have some other events planned throughout the year.
The next meeting is on 4 February which is also World Cancer Day.
