Pensions and HR Staff supporting the Wood Street Mission Christmas Appeal

Anna Burns and Simon Ogden from the Pensions Team coordinated donations from colleagues in Pensions, HR staff in John Owens and HR Services, to contribute to the 2019 Wood Street Mission Christmas Toy Appeal.

Anna and Simon maximised all the donations by purchasing new toys on a 3 for 2 offer!

Anna said, it’s been fantastic to be able to support Wood Street Mission again. We were given a tour of the charity earlier this year and we were so moved hearing about the levels of poverty affecting children in the local areas, and the great work that Wood Street do.”

Simon explained, “As a father it’s hard to imagine any child not getting a gift at Christmas. If we all help in a small way it can make a difference.”

There’s still time to donate to Wood Street - the deadline is Wednesday, 4 December to enable the volunteers to pack the donations ready for collection.
