15 Nov 2019
Our University has won the 2019 Elsevier ‘Best New Event’ Award for Postdoc Appreciation Week, which was awarded from the American National Postdoctoral Association (NPA)
From 16 to 20 September we celebrated the contribution that researchers make to our University’s research, teaching and social responsibility goals by taking part for the first time in this international initiative.
During the week 17 events were held attracting more than 600 attendees and our social media campaign, in coordination with other UK universities, reached around 1.6 million Twitter users from 12 countries.
Ines Hahn, Research Fellow in the School of Biological Sciences, said: "It is fantastic that our Postdoc Appreciation Week has been recognised internationally.
"A big thank you to all the organising teams, the Heads of Schools and Divisions, the University Research Staff Strategy Group and all the PIs and students that supported this initiative and made Postdoc Appreciation Week such a big success."
