Staff share their views and feedback on issues affecting the University and its staff
President and Vice-Chancellor Nancy Rothwell, has met with a small group of staff to answer questions, hear their ideas and discuss issues affecting our University and higher education more widely.
The session was the first of a series of events aimed at giving staff the opportunity to meet with Nancy in small, informal groups held across campus. These are in addition to the regular School visits and open staff meetings which Nancy and the Senior Leadership Team already carry out.
The group discussed an array of topics including how we support our staff through change, the effect of the daily commute, public transport and congestion on staff wellbeing, how the University is adapting to the way young people are changing in respect of their views on environmental sustainability and the challenges around investing in IT infrastructure, buildings and the estate.
The next session will take place on Tuesday, 19 November at 12pm at the Alliance Manchester Business School and is open to any member of University staff.
The sessions are limited to 20 people. Tickets will be allocated on a first come first served basis so please book your place as soon as possible.
