Chancellors Hotel swoops prestigious Sustainability Award

The winners of the 22nd Manchester Food and Drink Festival (MFDF) Awards were announced at their prestigious gala dinner held at Gorton Monastery

The annual awards celebrate the best local restaurants, bars, street food pop ups, coffee shops and individuals who ensure that Manchester’s Food and Drink scene remains one of the most prolific in the UK.

There were only 18 awards up for grabs with Chancellors picking up the Sustainability award sponsored by the Sustainable Restaurant Association.  Judges were looking for venues that pride themselves on good food for the people and the planet, as well as sustainable day-to-day practices and team engagement.  

Fiona Lockyer, General Manager of Chancellors Hotel said: “This award is testament to the continued hard work that the team do to provide great quality food and drink in-keeping with the University’s sustainable footprint”.
