Twin Peaks - Fundraiser event for Prevent Breast Cancer
During women's health month, the Staff Wellbeing Team have teamed with Manchester Museum to present Mandy Tootill – Twin Peaks on Friday 25th October. This is a thought provoking comedy night and is an honest and fearless account of being diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 30. All ticket sales go to the charity Prevent Breast Cancer, who fund research into breast cancer including the work of two Professors at the University. This event is 18+ and welcomes women and men. Be pink on Boobee day
As part of the University’s women’s health month in October, Prevent Breast Cancer will be bringing their BooBee bus on campus on 9th October. Pop along anytime between 10am – 4pm to the bus on Bridgeford Street. On board the bus will be their very own“BooBees” who will be distributing their “Bee Aware” information and encouraging women to come on board to find out more about breast health. Also on board will be a specialist breast cancer nurse to give advice and to answer any specific concerns. Why not wear some pink that day to show your support for breast cancer awareness!
