Free instructor-led sessions for learners and new road users
Led by qualified instructors from Transport for Greater Manchester, a number of free sessions are taking place at University Place and the Ellen Wilkinson Building to encourage staff and students to consider more active travel and get on your bike!
Road Rider Ready - maximum 14 spaces per session

- Preparing yourself and your bike for cycling on the road
- Effective starting positions
- Starting off, pedalling and stopping with control and consideration
- Controlling the bike, using gears and manoeuvring safely around objects
- Communicating with others
- Looking all around and behind, and controlling the bike with one hand
- Share space with pedestrians and other cyclists
