Progress since Staff Survey 2019 continues to be made

Leaders across the university have completed improvement plans
Over the summer, the Senior Leadership Team has been working to create plans as a result of feedback from the Staff Survey 2019. All action plans have now been submitted, and include clearly established priorities, opportunities for colleagues from all areas of the University to get involved, and strategies to ensure that change is implemented effectively.
On 19 September the University Leadership Team will meet to discuss these plans with the Staff Survey Steering Group. The plans will adhere to three themes; the themes and their leads, members of the Senior Leadership Team are:
- Creating a Positive Work Environment – Colette Fagan, Professor of Sociology and Vice-President for Research
- Managing Change – Luke Georghiou, Deputy President and Deputy Vice-Chancellor
- Engagement and Comms – Nalin Thakkar, Professor/Consultant/Associate Vice President, Vice-President for Social Responsibility
In addition to this we have the action plan leads:
- Humanities - Fiona Smyth, Deputy Dean and Vice Dean for Teaching, Learning and Students and Jayne Hindle, Head of School Operations
- FSE - Paul Mativenga, Chair in Multiscale and Sustainable Manufacturing and Vice Dean - Social Responsibility, Equality & Diversity and Pia Pollock, Project Officer
- BMH - Vikki Goddard , Director of Faculty Operations
- Professional Services - Jayne Hindle
- Melissa Westwood, Professor of Endocrinology and Associate Vice President for Research
