The Wellbeing Lecture Series is back for the new year! The Staff Wellbeing Team are delighted to confirm our first three lectures.
Be Your Own Wellbeing Coach Wednesday 25th September
Wellbeing Coach and Personal Trainer Gemma Dale will be leading our first wellbeing lecture of the year, and will get you thinking about your current state of wellbeing and work life balance, as well as sharing simple practical tips for thinking about change for the future. Bring a pen and paper for this session!
Mindfulness in Nature – Wednesday 2nd October
Mindfulness teacher Claire Morris will explore mindfulness in nature is by looking at the 5 pathways to nature connection and how we can use mindfulness and meditation to help us become more aware and connected to ourselves and the natural environment. Claire will lead a short meditation and offer ideas on how to engage with nature mindfully.
Enhancing Mental Capital and Wellbeing at Work – Wednesday 13th November
Professor Sir Cary Cooper CBE is a Professor of Organizational Psychology and Health at Alliance Manchester Business School and is recognised as a world leading expert on wellbeing. In this lecture he will explore the costs of stress and lack of mental wellbeing at work, identify the main sources of workplace stress and explore various approaches to minimise mental ill health and enhance the wellbeing of individuals and organisations.
