Happy sunflowers

August has arrived and there are a number of fantastic staff wellbeing activities that you can access this month - all link to our Six ways to Wellbeing. The staff wellbeing calendar has all the latest for you! These include our Be Active summer programme, exhibitions at The Whitworth, Mindful Movement at St Peter's House and how to sign up for this year's Pride event! For those who enjoy following Action for Happiness their Altrustic August calendar gives you daily actions to help you spread more happiness by helping others.

Many of you enjoyed the staff wellbeing lecture on How to be happier earlier this year with Jo from the Happiness Club. Part of the work she does is to run an online membership for The Happiness Club, which is designed to help people deal with and overcome things like stress, anxiety and depression as well as simply learn how to proactively look after their mental wellbeing on a daily basis. Members receive direct access to Jo and a team of Happiness Club trainers to discuss any issues they may be having plus we run live webinars and members receive a daily message containing a tool or strategy for them to implement that day, they can receive the daily message via email, Facebook or The Happiness Club App. Jo is offering you the opportunity for a one month free trial of the club. All you need to do is click this link and enter your details, you will then automatically receive the free month. This is a great opportunity to do something for your own mental wellbeing!

All our previous wellbeing lectures can be rewatched online via on staff wellbeing website including the latest to be added on Understanding Prostate Cancer.

Summer is a time for clear out and Blackwell's, the campus bookshop, have always bought and sold second-hand books . But now they have increased the range and number of books they are able to buy back.
