The Teaching Excellence Awards Panel, is delighted to announce that Dr Jenny Slaughter (Chemistry) and Dr Adam Danquah (Psychology and Mental Health have been awarded Teaching Excellence Awards.
The panel, chaired by Professor Kersti Borjars, were impressed by their longstanding commitment to excellence not just in their own teaching, but also to the development of others through their leadership of student co-creation projects and GTA training.
This year the panel also recognised Dr Kurt Wilson (Medical Education) and Dr Mark Hughes (Physics and Astronomy) with formal commendations for their work within interprofessional education and assessment, and development of resources to support students with Aspergers respectively.
Many thanks to all those who submitted their cases and to those providing support to colleagues across the University. We hope to hear more from many of them in the future as they develop their teaching practice further.
Congratulations to Jenny, Adam, Kurt and Mark on their awards and commendations this year.
