Alumni Volunteers Month: Can alumni volunteers help you?
07 Jun 2019
We’re inviting you to learn more about how alumni volunteers can support your own projects
This week, you’ll have read how our community of over 8,000 alumni volunteers improve graduate employability, make a difference in local communities and support student recruitment. Now it’s time to find out how they can support you.
Having 480,000 graduates around the globe means we can recruit alumni volunteers with expertise in every imaginable field.
Join us to discuss your projects
Learn more about how you can use our community of alumni volunteers to support your own projects at the University by joining the Alumni Engagement team for a free speed networking lunch at 12.30pm on Thursday, 27 June.
Helen Foote, Senior Alumni Officer, explains why you should come along:
“As long as your project contributes to one of the University’s three core goals, we can discuss recruiting alumni volunteers to support it.
"At the lunch, we'll outline the support we can bring to your area of work and will demonstrate the impact of alumni volunteering activities.
"We'll be covering how we support the Graduate Outcomes survey; alumni-to-student engagement activities; our online mentoring platform the Manchester Network; international groups and events; and how we get support from influential alumni.
"It will be fantastic to see you there to network and build relationships which will hopefully lead us to working more closely together - with alumni providing help and support in your area of work."
- Reserve a place at our free speed networking lunch
- Or email alumni.volunteer@manchester.ac.uk to discuss your projects
Tell us about your own alumni volunteers
We’d also love to hear about any graduates who have volunteered to support your projects but haven’t been recruited by the Alumni Engagement team. Letting us know about these alumni will ensure that our volunteers are properly recognised by the University.
- Email alumni.volunteer@manchester.ac.uk to let us know about your alumni volunteers.
