UoM staff cricket team takes to the field again

The UoM staff cricket team is once again set to light up the Manchester Professionals Cricket League (MPCL) after a couple of years’ absence.
The team is being organised by Chris Keyworth and Mudassar Iqbal and is a mix of all staff groups. The format is an adapted T20 form with matches being played on weekday evenings at grounds close to the University. The cricket is very social although there is a cup to be won so all strive to their best.
First up is the massive grudge match against the University's auditors KPMG, hopefully we'll get a couple of management letter points out of it (little accounting joke there).
There are three other pool games followed by a quarter-final and – hopefully – finals day.
