The Manchester Christmas Dinner (for Care Leavers) needs YOU!
13 May 2019
Help us create a magical Christmas day for care leavers aged 18-25
Every year, a group of volunteers passionate about creating a magical Christmas day for Care Leavers aged 18-25 come together from September to plot, plan and perfect the event – and this year, we need you!
From recruiting guests, choosing and buying gifts, coordinating transport to deciding on décor – we need new members to join our Steering Group.
We meet once a month from September – December, and you’d work in small groups to ensure the experience is the best it can be for our guests – who have experience of being in Foster or Residential Care, and would otherwise be spending the day on their own.
So if you have skills/expertise/contacts or enthusiasm which you could bring to our group - we'd love to have you on board working with us this year to make the 2019 Christmas Dinner the best yet!
We will be holding an information event on 1st July, 6-7pm at the University of Manchester where you can meet current Steering Group members and find out more. You can register for the event by going to our Facebook event:
